Research Paper Lecture #3: Wind Energy Systems: Environmental Aspects and Impact
1. Choose one environmental aspect/impact of the wind energy systems (avian interactions, noise,
military radar interference, visual) and debate pro and con arguments regarding that
environmental aspect. Present both pro and con arguments, and clearly state which side you are
on and argue for your side (i.e. justify your position). Please be aware that there is no right or
wrong side of the arguments, there are only well supported arguments (and badly supported
arguments) in other words, there are no correct side expectations from the professor. But,
make sure that your arguments are clear, logical, and support them with some facts!
