Prompt: What have perspectives been on your issue over time, and why, and what have been the major societal influences? Furthermore, what consequences and/or benefits have resulted due to these perspectives?
My thesis: Since the beginning of time, beauty standards have always existed due to the stereotypes and traditional expectations of women, which generally had a negative influence on them, causing them to resort to unhealthy practices to attain those unrealistic standards, in turn decreasing one’s self esteem and individual identity.
