Research Project: You need to research one organization and its management. The organization should be one with which you have some contact (employee, customer, investor, family connection, etc.). Organization size does not matter. Any source/approach must be cleared in your presentation.

Research Project: You need to research one organization and its management. The organization should be one with which you have some contact (employee, customer, investor, family connection, etc.). Organization size does not matter. Any source/approach must be cleared in your presentation.

Interview a leader. It need not be the CEO or owner, although they would be best. Address the questions below:

What is the mission/vision of the organization? How are those goals reflected in the strategies? What do the strategies look like in execution? How is the organization structured? How does management implement the organizations culture? Do front line employees understand the culture? Is this organization dealing with globalization? What changes in structure, culture, control, etc. have taken place in the past decade? Why?

Decide how YOU would manage the organization as its top manager. What would you change? Identify a minimum of two (2) changes you would make. For each, include the why behind your decision. I would change nothing gets no points.

In week 16 each of you submit a 9-10 slide PowerPoint Presentation, in the assignment folder, that answers the above questions and demonstrating:

Being able to apply knowledge, concepts and theories you learn from this course to support your analysis and reasoning, address relevant issues and develop solutions as well as recommendations;
The application of theories, frameworks and knowledge is able to reach a certain level in term of depth and width;
Relevant discussions and analysis getting to the point and showing understandings of the practical issues in the case;
Apply analysis to the organization situation and make insightful recommendations. Propose a justified solutions to business problems or issues, and indicate the effects of the solutions on the organization and if applicable to its stakeholders.
Effective organization and application of information (data) collected from diverse sources;
Clear and concise sentence and paragraph structure as well as logic organization of the overall work;
Correct grammar, spelling and punctuation;
Clear and complete list of bibliography and other related references. With a minimum of 4 references from the text and two references from academic sources.
The presentation submitted will be 9-10 slides in length. (Not including the cover page and bibliography)
Points will be deducted for not meeting the minimum word length and/or the minimum required references.
