Your written assignment is to research and write a paper about the racial disparity in cases in which individuals receive the Death Penalty. Discuss the racial disparity and research as to how an individual’s race may play a role in whether that individual receives the Death Penalty. Discuss the race of the victim and any research that indicates if the race of the victim has any effect on whether a Defendant receives the Death Penalty.

In addition, discuss Jury Selection and what effect racial discrimination may have on Jury Selection. If there are any Supreme Court cases that you can discuss that are relevant to your arguments, cite the Supreme Court cases and give a brief summary of the facts of each case.
