Conduct a tort walk at your place of employment (preferred)- **Miami-Dade County Public Schools**, your neighborhood, other neighborhoods, parks, or other places you visit frequently, and follow the following instructions: Attain permission from the location’s supervisor to conduct a tort walk at the chosen location. The location will NOT be identified in the paper.
Conduct a tort walk using the checklist attached in the module to help identify potential areas of concern.
Choose three potential areas of concern and research the legal issues and case law that relate to each area of concern.
Develop detailed policies and procedures which will address each area of concern.
Write a six-page, (see details below), a paper that integrates the following components:
1. Identification of each area of concern – one page
2. A comprehensive discussion of the related case law–A minimum of 6 peer-reviewed references and/or legal cases, (2 per area of concern), must be discussed – three pages
3. A detailed explanation of the policies and procedures the student, in your role as a leader, would enact to deal with the issues – two pages
4. A reference page containing a minimum of 6 peer-reviewed references and/or legal cases.
5. Your completed tort walk checklist (find the form in this module).
Note: The six pages of the paper are considered the body of the paper. The cover page, reference page, and tort walk checklist do not count toward the six pages.
