(A) Chapter1 is enclosed, i would need the following done for chapter 1 (the proposal):
1.Please present entire proposal and the ensuing chapter in adherence to both Turabian style and guidelines. . Include a title page, along with properly formatted abstract, and formatting of Chapter 1 as outlined within the attached research guide. Review entire paper for proper grammar, indentation of paragraphs, and footnotes and endnotes in adherence to Turabian style.
2. Change all of the footnote/endnote bibliographic format to the author-date style of parenthetical citations Turabian style
3 Describe in greater detail the methodological steps that are planned to take in order to conduct the qualitative aspects of this study. This will include not only the methods by which the sample will be obtained, but also the total number of interviewees one hopes to attain from both the American and Chinese churches, as well as whether or not all interviewees will come from one particular church congregation for a compare and contrast, or are they coming from the respective churches at large. If so, this scope may likely be too broad, and will need to be narrowed to make the study more manageable. Provide additional citations supporting the rationale behind the total number of participants one seeks to include and the likelihood one will be able to obtain such a sample.
4) Provide a copy of the questionnaire that one is planning to use to interview participants for review. Also add within the study plans to pilot the questionnaire with others who will not be in the actual study, but you can provide proper feedback on the effectiveness of the questionnaires to obtain the data of interest, and whether or not particular questions need to be adapted in order to produce better outcomes.
5) Provide a bibliography that shows a list of all of the references that have been acquired to date to demonstrate that one has access to the secondary sources necessary in order to successfully complete the project, and has identified the minimum number of sources necessary that are to be integrated into the project. Along these same lines, think through based upon research done in this area to date, whether or not a qualitative study is warranted, or if a bibliographic research design would provide one with enough sources to address the research questions of interest as an initial study.
6) Revamp the actual research questions to make sure that they are clear and focused. For example, you may be interested in identifying the methods by which particular American and Chinese churches of a particular denomination manage conflict. To gain additional ideas on how to frame your research questions for such a study, review dissertations written on a similar topic, as this will also provide guidance on the overall development and structure of Chapter 1.
In summary, continue to flesh out the proposal into a study that you believe will be manageable to complete from start to finish, utilizes research techniques that you are confident you can employ, and that will clearly address the gap that you see in the literature related to comparing the conflict management styles of churches of differing ethnic cultures. Narrow your topic, refine your research questions, and review additional dissertations for guidance.
