Cyber Warfare

BACKGROUND
The United States recognizes the vulnerability of cyber information, with control systems facing deliberate attacks that coincide with other forms of warfare. The Department of Defense, combined with other federal agencies, has developed offensive and defensive Cyber Warfare capabilities, most of which are classified. There is information available as to what Cyber Warfare might entail and the agencies that are tasked with developing these capabilities.

ASSIGNMENT:
For this assignment, answer the following:

1)Define Cyber Warfare.
2)Identify which methods, (i.e. Spear phishing, DDoS, Botnets etc) might be used as a method to deny an enemy the use of weapons and associated infrastructure.
3)Outline the current Cyber Warfare command and control structure, and the agencies responsible for developing these capabilities. Specifically discuss the role of the U.S. Cyber Command and its associated agencies, such as the National Security Agency, FBI etc.

Organization: Small intro paragraph at the beginning including an overview of the assignment questions. Headings and Subheadings should be used to organize your paper (as in the example provided to answer each part of the paper). Attached are required sources to READ in order to have enough background knowledge, if no PDF is attached please use the link in the sources document provided. You are allowed to use other scholar sources if you need it to explain answers more in depth (U.S. Based sources only). The sources document is numbered so that they can easily be put in the reference page of the assignment. Only allowed a maximum of 6% being directly quoted material. The reference page would have references with links in standard APA style as seen in the example attached. The template document was added to show the flow and structure of past papers.
