Writing Due: Final research paper: In four to seven pages compare and contrast the history, current practice and near future of two or three of the types of media we discussed this semester (i.e., books, newspapers, magazines, music, radio, movies, television, digital media).
Background: There have been and will be significant changes in media content, technology, as well as who pays for it and how. This assignment is aimed to make you an expert in the past, present and hopefully the future of at least two of the media channels we have considered this semester. Your expertise in at least two media channels will serve as a foundation of good information for the future when you or others are studying all media.
Process: Use at least two articles you find by using the library databases, JSTOR, or Google Scholar as references (in addition to other sources you wish to use including the text, materials used for class, other information found through search engines) to help you explain the history and current practices of two or three of the media we discussed this semester. Use at least one more article as a reference to support your predictions for what the futucixre of mass media will look like.
