Compare and contrast the creation narratives in Genesis1-1-24a and Genesis 2:4b – 3:24. In what ways does the deity in the first narrative resemble the deity in the second narrative? In what ways are the portrayals of each deity different? Which would best describes the deity or rather the presentation of the deity) in each narrative: monotheistic, henotheistic, or polytheistic? Explain your answer. Are there other superhuman entities in either of these texts? How do they fit into your (numerical) theological understanding of the text ?
