Organizations implement different strategies to optimize business operations and manufacturing (Ghobakhloo & Fathi, 2020). One approach is to integrate automation into business and manufacturing processes. Over recent years, automation in the manufacturing sector has seen increases in technologies such as robotics, artificial intelligence, cyber-physical sensors, and machine learning, contributing to Industry 4.0. As the cost of automation continues to drop lower than the cost of labor, there is a growing concern over job replacement’s economic and social impacts (Rojko et al., 2020). However, literature differs in findings regarding the magnitude of the effect resulting from job replacement.

This assignment requires the submission of a student paper that communicates the discoveries from researching the following questions:

What are the benefits an organization realizes from integrating automation into business and manufacturing processes?
What are roadblocks which prevent automation from being successfully implemented within an organization?
Should employees be concerned about job loss resulting from automation?
The paper is to be formatted using APA 7th edition style. The paper length should be a minimum of five pages utilizing double spacing. Include all citations to references used in researching the subject of automation.
