we will become familiar with Chapter 2 of Kerwin & Furlong’s textbook – The Process of Rulemaking. We will also be introduced to “The Case of the Speluncean Explorers.” This case is so well-known, that many academic(jurisprudence, legal reasoningand public administration) theorists use this case to research problems of judicial decision-making.
This week’s course lecture will expound upon this area of public administrative law, and will preview your first written assignment for the course (which is worth 20%) – “The Case of the Speluncean Explorers: Revisited”.
