Cybercrimes are the fastest-growing concern amongst criminal justice professionals today. With computers becoming more ingrained into the daily lives of people around the world, the level of vulnerability for victimization has increased exponentially. Investigators are facing challenges that historically, were only found in science fiction literature. As the result of these rapidly growing technological advancements, and the fact that those who choose to abuse this new technology are honing their skills and improving their knowledge of how computers operate, investigators must keep the pace in order to bring these criminals to justice and the criminal justice system must find a way to address the growing number of offenders and victims.
