Write an article from HealthIT that stated CVS will be launching their Telehealth health care program starting in 2023. This topic I believe related to the future of nursing and as health care advances with technology, it is becoming more prominent. With the easy accessibility, providers and clients can have decreased wait time and less obstacles for visits.
I selected this topic because it is the new age of primary care visits. There is more flexibility and direct communication. Also, with the pandemic, large families can avoid an office trip that will place everyone at risk for being sick. As graduate nurses, it can create jobs in different ways. According to Smith, et al. (2018), " Advances in telehealth technologies have been useful in the delivery of primary care services by advanced practice registered nurses" (p. 624). With constant change, monitoring the various modalities, it is important to recognize that not everyone may have access, so offering traditional in-person visits can help with that.
