In Educating for Creativity, Kelly (2012) provides a list of school websites that engage in creative educational practice (see Online Course Reserves for the list of websites). Select three of the schools that Kelly has listed, and discuss the effectiveness of each as a creative educational context. Your discussion should be a maximum of four pages (excluding references), double-spaced in length, and should include:
An overview of the premises on which each school is founded. Include the target enrollment of each, and its general organizational framework.
Describe the curricular and environmental aspects that are unique to each of the three and discuss how each context has proven effective in nurturing and expanding creativity in its students. Please reference the readings that inform your thinking.
Think critically about each school and its effectiveness in light of your understanding of creativity to this point. Do not simply hand in a summary of how each functions. I am looking for higher-order thinking, particularly synthesis, in-depth reflections, and/or critical evaluation.
