Assigned topic: Integrity
Many organizations, professionals, and individuals insist that integrity is integral to their values in life. Provide a critical essay on the meaning of integrity based on the seminar materials we have discussed during Weeks 1 and 2. Your essay (4-5 full typed pages) must present a clear thesis, use specific and persuasive evidence in support of that thesis, and explain how your argument as a whole relates to one or more of the other concepts or principles of the seminar. Be sure to define all of your terms carefully. Make direct use of relevant seminar materials where appropriate. In particular, for this assignment your essay must integrate at least one of the assigned seminar sources we have discussed. Do not use any outside materials or resources of any kind (including dictionaries). Your critical essay will be evaluated on your ability to construct a creative argument using evidence, analysis, logical reasoning, and the rational development of ideas. A simple summary or a description of the topic based on matters other than critical thinking and reasoning will not be acceptable. Your critical essay must communicate effectively within the context of the seminar and use appropriate citations as necessary. Since this assignment requires no outside research, a Works Cited page or bibliography is not necessary. In-text citations are sufficient. Essays will receive letter grades in accordance with the established standards of the Kettering University grade scale as described in the Undergraduate Catalog. Please submit your essay as a Word document, not a pdf.
Papers must meet the minimum length requirement and be double-spaced with 10 to12 pitch font with one-inch margins.
I’ve attached every piece of reading that is usable for the essay. Please do not use anything else. The only other source I cannot attach is a physical book, but you can probably find a PDF of it online for free. You can use “Managing in the Gray” by Joseph Badaracco, Chapters 1, 2, Appendix A, and Appendix B.
