You might consider visiting the Alliance of Arizona Nonprofits, or another nonprofit database, in order to review the range of possibilities. Once you have made a nonprofit selection, address the following questions in 550 words:

1) Briefly describe the organization by addressing items such as the following: When was it founded? For what purpose was the organization founded? Describe the organization’s mission and leadership structure. Give any pertinent background information.
2) Review the definition of a grassroots nonprofit organization (see Sargeant & Shang, 2017, pp. 18-19). Does your selected organization meet the criteria? Explain. How does a grassroots nonprofit organization differ from traditional and/or large nonprofits?
3) How does Christianity inform/motivate the social/environmental welfare work of your selected organization? How does that work improve the welfare of the surrounding community and beyond? Please provide a specific example or two.
4) How does altruism compare to philanthropy? To what extent do philanthropic values and Christian values overlap/inform each other? Why are these concepts important to nonprofit organizations and why are they important in our society? Illustrate your argument with the organization’s current programs/initiatives.
