Topic: The topic of your paper should involve some facet of sports law, applied to some current topic in the world of sports.

Your paper should include a concise discussion of the facts, the legal issue, and then provide a clear analysis of the law as it pertains to the facts.
Your paper will have to incorporate primary legal sources (*1) , secondary legal sources, and multiple distinct(*2) tertiary legal sources.
Additionally,
you should use at least three distinct tertiary sources for information about the facts that are
involved. The precise number of primary, second, and tertiary legal sources you have to
incorporate depends on the topic you choose.
The paper should have a professional appearance.
Carefully proofread your paper for spelling, proper use of words, grammar, and formatting.
(*1) By incorporate I do not mean that you may simply cite to these sources. You should explain the context of the source, incorporate the substantive knowledge you learned from the source, and show
how that information helped you analyze the legal problem.
(*2) Often, you can find the same article, or a substantially similar article, on multiple web sites. By asking for distinct sources for your information, I am insisting that you dont simply rely on the same (or similar article) found in three different places, but that you find at least three articles that are clearly
distinct, each bringing their own information and analysis. I include this requirement because I want to encourage you to never rely on a single tertiary source for information, but to always look for multiple
vantage points.
The paper must be delivered to me both as a submission in Canvas, and in hard-copy. The paper should have a one-inch margins on all sides, right and left justified, be in Times New Roman or Calibri font (12 pt.), and with single spacing (except double spacing between paragraphs).
Print on only one side of the paper.
Your name, BLAW 313 Fall 2021, “Research and Writing Project,” and the date of submission should be in the upper right hand corner.
Each page should be numbered.
The paper should be written in accordance with the APA Style Manual, and must
include a bibliography.
