Select a short story that you have read in this course (The story will be The Most Dangerous game by Richard Connell.) Then, select a piece from another artistic mediuman image such as a painting or mural; (Image is attached) music such as a song or symphony; a sculpturethat represents the same subject or an important scene in the story. Write a 4-5 paragraph essay comparing and contrasting the text of the story and the other artistic medium.
(The important scene used for this essay will be when one of General Zaroff’s prized hounds gets trapped and dies in Sanger Rainsford’s Burmese tiger pit forcing Zaroff to retreat back to his chateau. As a result Zaroff reaches the realization that Sanger is a worthy opponent and one that should feared which further entices him to kill Rainsford as he as never had an opponent with such intelligence.)

Each body paragraph should answer the following prompts (total of 3 body paragraphs)
– How does the work of art affect your impression of the story? (further reasoning will be provided if need) & Are the impressions each creates different? (further reasoning will be provided if needed)
– In what ways are the story and image similar? (Image is attached; interpretation is up to the writer)
– In what ways are they different?
– Please use either a block structure or point-by-point structure (whichever is quicker)
– Please make sure the essay has an introduction, supporting paragraphs, and a concluding paragraph.
