Plato argues that we dont necessarily need to be equals of our rulers in order to place ourselves under their leadership. Yet democracies place a great deal of value on the principle of equality. Both points are reasonable on their own ways. Whats your take on this question? Is equality between the leaders and led more important? Or should we be fine with the idea that our leaders should be better people than us?
