Assignment: Using Microsoft Word – Students will research a body system and compile the information into a paper. Choose 1 of the body systems (Digestive, Urinary, Reproductive (Male/Female), Nervous, Cardiovascular, Respiratory, Blood, Lymphatic/Immune, Musculoskeletal, Skin, Sense organs; Eye/Ear, Endocrine.
Requirements for paper
Completed Research paper length is to be between 3-6 pages, APA or MLA format – Submit as word document or PDF
• 1 inch margins only
• 12 point font (times new roman )
• Double spaced lines
• Sections and subsections divided by one blank line
• No blank lines between paragraphs in the same section
• Single spaced references
Sections/Subsections:
Introduction (Overview) of the body system (functions, major organs)
Diseases and Conditions – Describe 2 diseases (conditions) that can be associated with your body system (name of the disease, how it begins, how it affects the body)
Clinical Tests and Procedures – List (and explain) 2 tests/procedures related to your body system
Terminology – Complete a table of medical terms (10) related to your chosen body system – give term, word parts, and definition.
