Students will research their topic and write a 4-5 page paper, with a work cited page. This paper should include your analysis of how societal factors (e.g. culture, laws, politics, religion, ethics, financial factors, etc.) influence the topic. The paper will be graded on the following criteria:

Students will research their topic and write a 4-5 page paper, with a work cited page. This paper should include your analysis of how societal factors (e.g. culture, laws, politics, religion, ethics, financial factors, etc.) influence the topic. The paper will be graded on the following criteria:
Credible sources are used – newspaper, magazines, websites, and/or news broadcast, books, journals, etc. (3 to 5 current scholarly sources required). Sources older than 5 years are not considered credible. Be aware of fake sources and fake media that appear to be reliable.
You must relate/connect findings to course materials and discussions.
Papers must be typed and follow APA format. (Assistance is available from the library, College Writing Center and Thinking Storm. Thinking Storm is online writing assistance found on the BB home page). Students are encouraged to review a draft of their paper with the writing center or Thinking Storm. These are resources that will help you develop your writing skills. Review paper grading rubric before you start writing your paper.
The instructor requires all work that is not original to be cited.
