Directions:

Select a topic within the study of community corrections.

Conduct a review of relevant social science literature on the selected topic (minimum 10 articles).

Write a 10-15 page scholarly article review that accomplishes the following:

Describe the current status of the development of that topic.
Synthesize the findings from these articles.
Describe the most relevant viewpoints on the topic. What controversies exist?
Explain the policy implications of your research.

Minimum of 10 COMPLETE pages, excluding title and reference pages
Maximum of 15 COMPLETE pages, excluding title and reference pages, unless cleared with me first
Since these writing assignments are FORMAL in tone and structure, you are also expected to:

Structure your paper with an introduction and a conclusion
Make use of standard rules of grammar
AVOID USING informal language including contractions (e.g., isnt, dont) and first- and second-person pronouns (e.g. I, you, me, we, my, us, our)
