Assignment Question

Using a 12-point font and double space formatting, write a three-quarter to one-page review of a musical performance that you’ve recently attended or watched virtually. This performance can be classical in nature, or not. If you went to the Eras Tour, I would love to hear about it! If you have not recently attended a performance, the link below will take you to the University of South Carolina School of Music’s YouTube page, where you can find an endless amount of videos of student, facutly, and guest performances throughout the school year. You may have to to go the Playlists tab to find the complete library of livestreamed performances. You can choose any video of any performance to talk about (if you look hard enough, you might find a couple by yours truly!). The video descriptions have links to the programs so you can see exactly who is performing and what they are playing.

Make sure you are writing about a different performance than you wrote about for the first two youtube.com/@GamecockMusic Answer these questions to help you complete the report: • Who is performing? What pieces are they performing? Where are they performing?

• What instruments are involved? What did you like or dislike about the performance? What about it made you like/dislike it? Which piece was your favorite? What emotions were conveyed about this piece that made you enjoy it?

•If the piece(s) being performed is/are older, how do you think the audience at the time would have reacted to the premier of this piece?
