Write a summary analysis of a problem or dilemma facing the institutional and / or community corrections systems.The student will develop a research paper that synthesizes the concepts of leadership, ethics, research, and technology in a summary analysis of a problem or dilemma facing the institutional and / or community corrections systems. The student can select a general topic area (e.g., ethics and leadership in corrections and implementing or continued use of a technological enhancement in jurisprudence such as surveillance cameras in the prisons, electronic access control, video-based visitation, etc.), or focus on a specific case study of a corrections practitioner (i.e., prison warden, jail superintendent, or community corrections director), or specific corrections incident (i.e., Attica riot, etc.) as the target of the analysis.
