Write a review paper on the wars of the imperial era span from the Seven Years’ War to just before World War I. While in many of these conflicts European powers fought between themselves, they often found themselves in heated fights against indigenous populations across the globe. Europeans have historically been said to have possessed advantages over indigenous peoples because of superior firearms, tactics, and discipline. In reality, however, possession of these attributes did not guarantee an easy victory, or a victory at all.

In your initial post, assess the assumption that European invaders held distinct advantages over indigenous populations and discuss at least one particular instance where those advantages proved to not be a decisive factor.
