Write a research paper outlining what goes into a laboratory’s operating budget.Review the example lab budget provided (which is a simple one). You can select a budget for one department or a small lab with multiple departments. Create a more detailed operating budget for a lab of your choice. Identify line items for specific items. For example, in phlebotomy you would include line items for things such as tubes, needles, hubs, gloves, etc. If you are doing a small laboratory budget you can just include all common items (gloves, gauze, etc.) in one area instead of including it in each department. Identify the size and type of laboratory you are creating the budget for.

This is only an operational budget; do not include capital equipment.
