In 2017, an article published in Nature (Holen et al 2017-1.pdf Download Holen et al 2017-1.pdf ) shocked the archaeology community when the authors claimed they had uncovered a 130,000-year-old archaeological site in California, pushing back previous claims for the earliest arrival of humans by about 100,000 years.
For your essay, you must reference both the initial paper (posted on canvas under Course Resources as Holen et al. 2017) and at least three other sources discussing this paper.
