Write a paper according to Garvin (1993), continuous improvement programs are sprouting up as organizations strive to better themselves and gain an edge. Leaders prove that companies and individuals repeat the same process in the absence of learning and stick to old practices (Garvin, 1993). Brassy et al. (2019) noted that the persistent uncertainty, a multi generational workforce, and shorter shelf life for knowledge had placed a premium on res killing and ups killing. Company CEOs and executive staff realize that training and development are essential as they continue to evolve. Learning has proved to be elusive over the years, and with new ideas, creativity, and insight, leaders must adapt (Brassy et al., 2019).

Learning and development programs are designed to manage the development of employees (Garvin, 1993). It supports the business priorities, functions, and framework to create a robust learning and development environment that employees and their leaders are excited about (Garvin, 1993). The opportunities provided for both leaders and employees through the learning program create and foster an environment conducive to learning (Garvin, 1993). Leaders must embrace a broader role within the company and articulate a bold vision for the strategy (Brassy et al., 2019).
