Write a discuss Current psychological and scientific studies show that COVID-19 pandemic restrictions cause cognitive developmental delays in infants and adolescents. The development and implementation of effective early intervention programs and strategies to alleviate cognitive delays is crucial for a pandemic generation. Parents, caregivers, and educators must equip themselves with information on strategies to circumvent negative physical, psychological, and behavioral consequences. To prevent future cognitive delays caused by shutdowns, all current daycare (excluding home daycare), preschool, and K through 12 institutions must work toward retrofitting with practical ventilation and filtration systems, in addition to having approved cleaning, sanitizing, testing, and masking procedures in place. Codes for new construction of educational institutions, daycare through high school, need updating to require the proper ventilation and filtration systems for combatting the spread of deadly communicative viruses/diseases. Ongoing research and development with clear goals toward predicting/avoiding/managing future pandemics is imperative, including wildlife-borne disease surveillance; experimentation; vaccinations; preparedness plans; supply chains; emergency supply distribution plans; vulnerable populations; filtration; treatments; and other beneficial medical, social, and technological advancements.
