This is a fun assignment because you develop a metaphor to explain what evaluation is or what it means to you. It is a chance to think outside the box!
A metaphor is “a figure of speech in which a term or phrase is applied to something to which it is not literally applicable in order to suggest a resemblance” (Flexner & Hauck, 1987).
Write a describing how you see evaluation as like some familiar object found in your home or even at your desk. But don’t feel limited if you want to go further afield to find the object that captures the essence of evaluation for you.
