“Cognitive and Behavioral therapies often are joined in a commonly used branch of therapy called “Cognitive Behavioral Therapy” or “CBT”. Under “CBT” various theorists have become well known for their versions of “CBT” including Albert Ellis. Ellis developed REBT, “Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy”, which focused on changing irrational beliefs.
