What other forms of treatment are these people receiving?

One of the over-arching themes of this course is how music affects us as human beings. We know that music can affect our mood, but its power may be much deeper than we know. Below is a link to an incredible documentary entitled, Alive Inside: A Story of Music and Memory. I highly recommend you watch the entire documentary, but please focus on the stories of:

Henry (starts at 4:55)

Denise (starts at 21:35)

John (starts at 41:30)

Next please watch the short 60 Minutes feature on singers Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga the link is below as well.

Im very interested in hearing your thoughts on these videos.

Please briefly explain each persons condition (Henry, Denise, John, and Tony Bennett) and describe how music therapy affected each person. Did you notice an improvement? If so, please explain. Did the improvement last? If so, for how long? What other forms of treatment are these people receiving? Are those therapies working?

Please select two people and compare and contrast their diagnoses, current condition, improvement with music therapy (if any), and prognoses.

In your summary, please let me know your thoughts and opinions about these videos. Is music therapy a worthwhile option for people with dementia/Alzheimers? Do you feel there is a link between music and memory?

This paper should be at least 500 words (use word count to check).
