What is the most important person, place or thing in African American history between 1619 and 2022?
Answering this question requires a thoughtful response. There is no wrong answer. The right answer, however, is a well argued, thesis-driven essay, supported by at least three points. Once you have made your choice, your paper should be a thesis-driven essay describing your choice and situating it in its historical context. Next you should explain why you have made this choice.
