– Does the films aesthetic and formal approach work with the subject/theme/material?

– Supporting Evidence: Provides relevant examples/illustrations from the Documentary to back-up the reviewers opinion about the documentarys effectiveness.
– The Opinion: Makes a provable case for the Documentary’s merit and analyzes what worked and did not work in the film.
– The Inquiry: Contains effective and knowledgeable evaluation of many aspects of Documentary to support reviewers opinion, including story, theme, issue, subject, directing, cinematography, editing, and impact. Extensive depth of consideration is obvious and well-portrayed
– Call to Action: Effective details of the documentary’s call to action, and audience engagement options if available.
– Impact: Review is strongly organized with clear transitions and logical connections that create a sense of being tightly woven together; review offers a clear evaluation Writing is strong and effective with a clear voice and a variety of sentence structures; strong and effective word choice
