Basically you need to create a narrative essay, that addresses the threads which link your topics. It should include a proper introduction, body, conclusion. ( I have six sources that NEED to be used but more sources are welcomed) Thank You!! A catchy way to open your essay to attract the notice of the reader (a famous quote from your person past or present) Offer a biographical account of each of your events/people (basically, what transpired to make it come about). What is so important about this person/event that you decided to cover it? Who is this person? If the reader knows nothing about this person what would you tell them about their lives to teach them? Here is where your sources come in to help support your argument. What made them important? Remember to offer context throughout. Keep this rule of thumb in mind: Always assume the reader knows NOTHING about the content of your essay. (Having someone outside of class read it will not hurt either.) The formatting is up to you, but you also need to cover your present-day topic. What are the historical factors that brought it about? Also, what are the factors that combine these events/people together? What are the ties that bind them? What are the differences? What accounts for those differences? This analysis should be reached through a combination of your source materials and own conclusions Finally, within your conclusion, please elaborate on the historical impact of the events/people. Ultimately, how did this person/event shape American History? Or was the event or the person’s life a product of it? Or both? Why? What further conclusions can we draw about history? Does “it” always repeat itself? Or is it the result of the choices your person made? Is that overly simplistic? What does your story suggest?
