This is to provide my Academic Advisor background information on my personal experiences and journey that led to my pursuit & acceptance into physician assistant program. She is needing this information to personalize her letter of recommendation for the scholarship program I am applying to.
Below are the points that will be supported by the letter of recommendation from my advisor.
The scholarship addresses these points specifically:
The students education/work achievements,
The students ability to work and communicate constructively with other people, and your assessment of the students particular characteristics, interest and motivation to serve populations in areas of greatest need in health professional shortage areas.
This assessment should include your knowledge of the students work experiences, pertinent coursework, special projects, research, or other activities that demonstrate an interest in and commitment to serving underserved populations
She requested the following information in order to personalize her letter and enough information for her to address the points above.
the questions she asked are the following (I have also brainstormed and jotted ideas to address the question asked; which i can further discuss during a call or through messaging) :
*no word limit as long as it is to the point with enough support to compose her letter.
1. Could you please write to me about your past education/work experiences, anything you have done to help in underserved communities, any special projects you have been part of.
Brainstorming:
– Volunteering & extracurriculares always revolved around serving others + outreach = ultimately self gratification & humble & self awareness & gratitude of what matters = life
– Refer to CASPA + letter of recommendation
2. Also could you tell me why you chose to go to PA school, and why you specifically chose this program.
brainstorm: Refer to personal statement: the values and ideals of this program, plus the culture and ability to embody the act of practicing medicine and being able to deliver this and reaching those that are inaccessible to medical care
:

4. What are you most proud of yourself:
Brainstorm: resilience through academic career; pushing myself to overcome obstacles and stigmas on age and education (retention) + federal financial assistance able to pursuit & accomplish dream, continue to work on bettering self as a person and practitioner with this opportunity

Summary: alleviating or pacifying others internal battle; advocate for others, connecting them to their community maximizing service available (outreach) common goal seen in all volunteering experiences whether through book drive, care packages, Ronald McDonald, soup kitchens, food drives
6. How would your peers describe you/what makes you a good teammate
support with example: Advocate for others (present emotionally/mindfulness) To be heard, listening > understand > mindfulness (diplomatic) > personable (inclusivity; everyone is invaluable) =more solutions or input
Collaborate well with others effortlessly, everyones contribution (knowledge) is invaluable (greater practitioner learning from others life experiences that i have yet or might never come across) = open mindedness & curiorisity (eager to learn and value knowledge- Change & adapting advancement of medicine& maximize care effectively & productively but focus on quality of life )
7. What if any hardships you have had to overcome that you are willing to share
