Choose your own topic or expand on the definition paragraph, and compose a 350-500 word Definition essay. A definition essay is an extended explanation of how you view an idea, concept, activity, or word. The essay must be your original writing and should adhere to MLA style guidelines. Please submit only writing original to this class, so do not resubmit essays you composed for another class. As well, there is no need to use or cite outside sources, as this essay should explore how you see or define an idea or term. The essay should have an introduction with a thesis, body paragraphs, and a conclusion.
