2) What are two of Childe’s general “characteristics of urban centers” (see the Lecture 8 PowerPoint slides) that apply to Indus Valley cities? For each of the two that you list, put an example of how it appears in the archaeological record for this particular civilization.
3) There is no readable, written documentation to show who exactly ruled the Indus Valley, so why is it still classified as a State? Reference supporting indirect archaeological evidence for state-level socicixal organization in this society.
