Methods Section:

Who are the subjects in the study? Are the inclusionary and exclusionary criteria suitable and sufficient?
What experimental groups are included in the project and are they sufficient to evaluate the research question?
What is the setting of the research project?
What design are you using and what are the design components.
List and describe the operational definition of all variables, both independent and dependent.
Are subjects assigned to conditions randomly?
What control or comparison groups are utilized to remove the influence of confounding extraneous variables?
Are measures taken to control for biases originating from the subjects perceptions and/or experimenter expectancies?
Are the operational definitions of the dependent and independent variables adequate enough to assess both the construct being studied and the construct being measured?
In light of the American Psychological Association Ethical Guidelines, do subjects face any risks for participation in the research project? If there were risks, what measures do the researchers take to alleviate and reduce them?
Do the researchers discuss adequately obtaining informed consent from the research subjects?
