Thesis, 15 Pieces of Evidence & Annotated Works Cited

Objective:
To help plan, organize, and prepare to write your addiction research Essay

* Write a THESIS STATEMENT that identifies 2-3 causes and 2-3 solutions for a specific addiction.

* Find & record 15 PIECES OF EVIDENCE you might use to back up your thesis

* Create an ANNOTATED MLA WORKS CITES of 5+ SOURCES used to obtain the 15 pieces of evidence.

Directions:

1.Write thesis statement that NAMES 2-3 causes and 2-3 SOLUTIONS for the specific addiction that your research paper addresses.

2. As you search for high ethos (high P.A.A.R.C. score sources), read & jot down 15+ pieces of evidence from your sources that you might use in your essay–Try to find relevant numbers, data, & facts (logos)

3.Create an MLA Annotated Works Cited with at least 5 of the 8-10+ required sources that you are planning to use so far

4.nclude an annotation for each Works Cited entry that includes two sentences:

Sentence #1–a summary overview that states the thesis or purpose of the source you’ve read

Sentence #2–a specific explanation of how you plan to use the source to support your thesis

Make both sentences single-spaced in bold type without hanging indents (This makes your annotations easier for me to read)
