The President’s Cabinet Members

OBJECTIVE
The purpose of this exercise is to make sure that you have a clear understanding of the people who are shaping the future of America; the policy and decision makers. Knowing a little about these people will help you understand why certain political and legal decisions are being made. Students will recognize particular legal issues inhering to a given case scenario and determine which laws come to bear on the issues towards arriving at a resolution of those issues.

ASSIGNMENT INSTRUCTIONS
For this week, I would like you to write a 1-2 page paper on the President’s Cabinet Members. For 8-10 cabinet members, you are to provide the following information:

Position
Qualifications (Prior Work Experience)
Picture
You don’t have to provide any additional information. At the end of the paper, please create a conclusion section. In this section, I would like to know your thoughts about the research. What does your research show about the President and his Cabinet Members? What surprised you? What are your thoughts? The conclusion should be one paragraph.

For this assignment ONLY, you can cut and paste. I would caution you to make sure that the person is still employed by the White House. Do not provide outdated information.

There are about 14 or so cabinet members.

GRADING CRITERIA
Please write directly in the text box. Please make sure that you answer each question separately. Do not combine the answers. Label your answers as question 1 and question 2 etc., so that I can evaluate how you answered each question separately. This assignment is worth 15 points.

Does the answer to the Homework questions have the correct focus? Did the answer reflect the question asked?
Were the answers organized around the questions and concepts?
Are the answers well-written, free of spelling and grammar mistakes like spelling, grammar and clarity of expression?
Did the answer have the correct word length? This is assignment is 1-2 pages.
