The Paper
In total, this paper should be 6-8 pages in length, excluding the title page and reference page. See the Purdue OWL website for how to format your paper, including the title page, headings, in-text citations, and references. See rubric for specific criteria.
Introduction
Your introduction should generate interest in your research topic, provide the background research & theory for your study, identify a gap in the existing literature that establishes the need for your study, and state your hypotheses. This section should be approximately 2-3 pages.
Method
Your method provides a detailed description of the participants who provided data for your study, what measures were used to collect the data, and how the study was conducted. Aspects of this section will be quite consistent across groups as you will all have the same sample and sampling technique. This section should be approximately 1 page.
Results
The results section provides information about the statistical tests that were conducted (descriptive and inferential statistics) with limited interpretation. This section should be approximately 1 page.
Discussion
Here you need to provide a summary of your results in relation to the study hypotheses (e.g., do your results support your hypothesis?), literature/theory presented in the introduction, practical implications of the results, as well as limitations and future directions for this work. This section should be approximately 2-3 pages.
References
A complete list of references using APA format is required. These references should support the content of your paper. All references should also appear as in-text citations, and all in-text citations should appear in your reference list. A minimum of 5 peer-reviewed sources should be used in your paper.
