Below are very thorough guidelines for my term paper. It begins with my professor’s instructions and guidelines for the paper. That is followed by my ideas and personal instructions. Attached are some scholarly journals, but if you need access to my school library database let me know, as only scholarly journals and sources are allowed. YOU MAY NEED A PRIMARY SOURCE to base the paper. If you need any clarity or have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me. I am very flexible. Quality is what I need.
Professor Guidelines:
A clearly communicated argument that addresses the following questions:
Who appear to be the anchor scholars for your specific topic or the larger topic under which research interests fall?
What are the points of scholarly consensus about your topic? What do scholars agree on about what is important about your topic and what that means?
What are the points of scholarly disagreement in relation to your topic?
Where do you stand on this issue? What do you believe and why?
What more do you want to learn about this topic?
Incorporation of 5-7 scholarly, peer-reviewed journal articles or book chapters.
Book chapters must be in books published by university presses.
No websites, blogs, etc.
No more than 2 Ph.D. dissertations may be included (but are not required).
Careful citation of all ideas that are not your own.
Strong organization and clear communication of your analysis and argument.
a 1- to 2-paragraph (200-400 words) typed abstract
State your research topic;
State your main argument;
Summarize what you learned from you research;
State what grade you think should be assigned to your final research project and your rationale for the grade.
Label the abstract, and place it above the title of your essay for traditional essays, and above the title of the preface required for unessay projects.
All Traditional Research Essays Must
Be 12-15 pages, typed, double-spaced, in a standard 12-point font with one-inch margins
Follow MLA OR Chicago Guidelines for Style and Format, including a title, bibliography, and proper citation.

The course is Black Women in America. Please feel free to tailor this paper accordingly so that it flows and meets the guidelines from my professor. The questions below are only ideas, but it gives guidance to what my expectations are.
TOPIC:: This essay identifies the history of repressing and manipulating African American womens history and contributions in the United States of Americas society and the detriments associated with it. The tone and centrality of this paper is the need to bring light to the contributions and histories of black women within American society in order that they are- and America is- able to fully realize their worth, power and qualifications in American society. Some questions that may be answered are (In no particular order and only ideas):
1. Why is historical representation and national memory are important?
2. How have African American womens history and contributions been repressed and manipulated? As suffragist, abolitionist, activists and victims?

3. What are the reasons that they have been repressed and undermined?
a. How does this benefits the power structure in America and contribute to white supremacy and domination?
4. What impacts does it have on the perceptions of African Americans women in American society?
a. Write about how undermining their history results in society believing that they are inferior.
b. Please speak about Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson and the confirmation hearing (perhaps?)
5. What impacts does it have on African American womens perception of themselves?
a. Write about the oppression and intersectionality of black women in America
b. How does this benefits the power structure in America and contribute to white supremacy and domination
6. The Detriments
a. Continual inequality in society
b. Trauma and psychological effects on black women- may cite Degruy’s Post Traumatic Slavery Syndrome (2005)
And you do not have to use all the sources uploaded, but please try to incorporate as many as you can.
