Economics SOP are supposed to be technical unlike other depts. More than my story, they like to look at my research interests and quantitative background. So my interests is environmental economics or impact of government policies that look at social inequality and development. Emphasis of quant skills should be on I am very well versed with matrix algebra, multivariable calculus and calculus of optimisation, and real analysis as well. Well versed with econometrics: cross-section, panel data and time-series and forecasting regressions as well.Rest I think you can get an idea from any online economics SOP Samples.
