In the Week 6 Learning Materials, you reviewed the importance of efficiency in using sources to support your academic writing but also the importance of listening to sources. For this discussion, describe how and why it is important to listen to your sources and to review the arguments within your sources before establishing your own main claim or thesis for your Research Essay.

What does it mean to listen to your sources?
How can sources serve to help you clarify an essay’s main claim or thesis?
What specific excerpts or segments from the readings or videos furthered your understanding of sources as evidence to support a claim?
What types of library sources may persuade your audience to accept your claim?
Week 7 Instructions
In Week 6, your initial post reflects on listening to sources and efficiently using them within your academic writing. If you have not done so in Week 6, please thoughtfully reply to two of your peers posts by the end of Week 7.
