For your final paper, I want you to pick a culture from a different country and describe from a sociological standpoint. Do not use a culture you are from or any of the countries you may have used in previous assignments.
So, what is meant by a sociological standpoint. I expect you to view that countries culture based on one of the many theoretical frameworks that have been discussed in our text. You may use more than one perspective if you wish; however, you must be completely thorough in your explanations. In other words, do not try to impress me with multiple theories and not do justice to any of them. I would rather you do one well.
Please refer back to our Introduction page and Module 2 for all of the material I have provided for you to write a good paper.

USE OF NON-ACADEMIC SOURCES:
One of the problems students have is using what appears to be a good source of information off the web. There are a few places that are not accepted because they are not considered to be strong academic resources. Places such as Wikipedia, Yahoo news, Wisegeek, etc. if youre not sure ask me or one of our librarians.
