Socioautobiography

Overview
The purpose of this project is to give you the opportunity to apply the sociological imagination and the three main sociological perspectives to your everyday life. In this project, you will reference appropriate Course Learning Objectives (CLOs) and sociological concepts that apply to your life. This assignment can be related to any and all of the CLOs and any sociological concepts.

This project is a reflective activity using the PowerPoint presentation tool, which will allow you the opportunity to explore the interconnections between biography (a slice of your life), history, the social institutions, society, and culture.

Instructions
Identify six sociological terms or concepts that will be used in your project. These can be from any material covered throughout the entire course. These terms or concepts should be bold and underlined in your presentation.
Apply the six sociological terms to your own life and connect them to the course objectives.
Prepare a PowerPoint presentation:
The presentation may be narrated, but narration is not required.
There needs to be a title slide, reference list slide, and a minimum of 5 content slides.
You will need to use four outside scholarly sources and one course source:
Any pictures or images need to be properly sourced and cited. The UNE Library Services has information on how to locate and cite images.
Pictures and images may not be considered one of your scholarly sources.
Use APA (7th ed.) style for citations and reference list.
Creativity is encouraged and you can make this presentation any way you choose as long as the requirements for the assignment are met.
An example:
Looking back at my childhood in a military family, I realize now that the military is a total institution. (CLO 2). A total institution is a social institution that is strict with rules and schedules (Kendall, 2018).

Assessment Guidelines and Rubric
You will need to use four outside scholarly sources and one course source
Scholarly sources are peer-reviewed journal articles, college-level books, websites for collegiate-level institutions, government websites, and other websites with collegiate-level, peer-reviewed, and academic information.
Wikipedia, Quora, eHow, and similar sites are not considered scholarly sources
Newspapers and news sites are not considered scholarly sources for this course.
Presentation content should be written in a clear, concise, formal, and organized manner Information from sources should be paraphrased appropriately and accurately referenced and cited in APA (7th ed.) format.

This assignment is worth 150 points toward your final grade (or 15% of your final grade).
