Search out an interesting and new angle on a contemporary topic for your discourse community and will be argumentative in nature. The writer must join an ongoing conversation on the topic and must bring something new to the discussion rather than just repeating what has already been argued. Additionally, a counterargument is required to deal with anothers position or to compromise between two positions. Topics should be college-level research topics.
The essay must be properly formatted in MLA style using academic formal voice. The essay must have at least 12 peer-reviewed sources used as support, and it must be properly cited with in-text citations used at the sentence level and sources properly referenced on the Works Cited page.
