There should be 2 separate file for assessment 1/2/3 and 3/4/5.

The final assessment will be to submit and then summarize and present the important part of research report.

Step 1: Find Research Report

You must find and submit a scholarly research report that you will present for your final assessment. This report needs to be scholarly in scope, not a newspaper article, Wikipedia entry or something similar. An acceptable report will have graphs and descriptive statistics, should be an observational study or an experiment, and should have estimations and/or hypothesis tests.

The research must be have either confidence intervals or hypothesis tests or both. Here are examples:

Step 2: Submit Research Report

Use the submit button to upload a pdf file of your research.

The report was must be unique; if another student has already chosen the same report, I will ask you to submit another report.

Choose something that’s interesting to you and submit it as soon as you can, but before the deadline. You can resubmit this assignment if I don’t accept the report, so earlier is better.

You must wait until I approve your research before going to Step 3

Step 3: Select a time for your final assessment

Once your research report has been accepted, you can choose the time slot to present your summary and analysis here.

If you have to reschedule, please let me know as soon as possible since there will be limited days.
Changes to your scheduled time can be made freely before March 15.
Any changes to your scheduled time after March 15 will require a 6 point deduction from your final presentation score.

Note: Final Assessment Steps 4,5,6 (analyze, summarize and explain research report) has the grading criteria (rubric) for the remainder of the assessment.

Submission of this portion of the assignment will be reduced 2 points per week late, and reduced further if the report does not meet the meet the criteria of an acceptable research report.

The final assessment will be to submit and then summarize and present the important part of research report.

You should have already completed Steps 1, 2 and 3, submitted and had approved a research product, and chosen the time slot to present your summary and analysis here. If not, go back to assignments page and complete those parts.

Step 4: Read the rubric (grading criteria) and create a summary of what you want to present.

Review the rubric shown at the end of these steps which shows how your presentation will be graded on explaining experimental design, descriptive statistics and graphs, analysis of results, and conclusions. Create a written summary of what you want to present.

Step 5: Upload a written summary of what you want to present

Use the submit button to upload your written summary before your presentation. You must submit a written summary of your presentation to me before your assigned presentation time. This written summary can be a slideshow presentation or an outline.

Step 6: Your Final Presentation.

You will have 15 minutes to make your final presentation. Come to this Zoom Room 5 minutes before your assigned time, where I will admit you from a waiting room. You will present your report which will be graded (along with written material) according to the rubric shown below. I may ask some clarifying questions during or after your presentation.
