Develop an introductory paragraph ending with a thesis statement based on the Narrative Purpose as explained in SFSW Chapter 8. Follow the process explained in SFSW Chapter 3 for developing a thesis question: What have I learned about myself while reading and writing about Science and Technology? Your statement will answer this question.
Develop at least three supporing paragraphs in which you share KEY EVENTS about your experiences (understanding of yourself, your relationships, your surroundings) while critically analyzing the Science and Technology topics: automation, energy, medicine, media, environment.
Develop a concluding paragraph in which you suggest actions you will take as you move forward into Phase Four to develop the critical synthesis outline. (See Hope or Recommendation Conclusion model page 108).
Applying the SFSW Chapter 8 Narrative Concepts:

The I-Search Paper is a Narrative (SFSW Chapter 8) written from a first person POV (SFSW Chapter 8) reflecting upon your research journey . Your thesis statement (SFSW Chapter 3) at the end of the first paragraph must state you what you have learned about yourself followed by three or more paragraphs supporting your claim. Begin each paragraph with a topic sentence focused on a KEY EVENT (understanding of yourself, your relationships, your surroundings) enhanced through your reading and writing practice. During the paragraph discussion, explain your ACTIONS (SFSW Chapter 8) while reading and writing (previewing, annotating, summarizing, evaluating, synthesizing) which impacted your understanding, your relationships, your surroundings. Apply the SFSW Chapter 5 concepts for producing well-developed coherent paragraphs

In your journal, I suggest you mark the KEY EVENTS you experienced while reading and researching the trends about Science and Technology. Return to your Student Writing Journal SWJ and star the KEY EVENTS: Recall READING tactics offered at the beginning of each Reading Section: Description, Process Analysis, Illustration, Comparison, Cause and Effect, Argument. Perhaps, develop a double entry tactic to revisit your ACTIONS THEN and NOW Download a double entry tactic to revisit your ACTIONS THEN and NOW to discover your growth from August. ACTION: Recall the quizzes, which covered the reading concepts. If you scored low, what Action did you take to recover. Compare the writing strategies as a KEY EVENT with an ACTION of what you did to overcome the difficult strategies. Convey your mental DIALOGUE as needed for “enlivening the action” and enveloping the audience into your story. Utilize appropriate transitions to coordinate the DIALOGUE with the ACTION ideas.

Technology uses science to solve problems, and science uses technology to make new discoveries. They both affect each other, and both science and technology are used in many professions around the world! For example, my profession, Real Estate, science and technology is used every single day. They are also both evolving every day. Without technology in the Real Estate industry we could not do marketing, networking, emails to contact clients, or even all the programs used in a Real Estate transaction! The best thing I can think of regarding science relating to real estate is the databases used on websites like zillow that take your location and make up an estimated selling price. The goal of science is to answer questions and increase knowledge. The goal of technology is to find solutions to practical problems. Science & technology work side by side to help each other advance. Scientific knowledge is used to create new technologies such as the space telescope. New technologies often allow scientists to explore nature in new ways. Without science & technology in our lives we would be living in a very different world. They’re would be no chances for marketing and networking online, there would be no opportunities to have zoom calls with potential clients, and there would be no databases!
